Glass printing allows markings, symbols, scales, lettering, and functional areas to be applied directly to glass. Various methods are available depending on the application, type of glass, and intended use.
In addition to design purposes, printing can also serve technical functions - for example , to cover specific areas, mark control surfaces, or display information.
Schröder Spezialglas offers organic and ceramic screen printing as well as pad printing for printing on glass. The choice of process depends on the material, geometry, desired print image, and the future stresses the component will be subjected to.
Screen printing is particularly well-suited for large-area designs, lettering, symbols, and recurring printed images. Ceramic inks bond permanently to the glass surface during the manufacturing process and are therefore suitable for applications with high durability requirements. Organic ink systems offer additional design and functional possibilities depending on the application.
Pad printing can also be used to print on smaller areas and geometrically complex parts. This allows the different processes to be specifically tailored to the respective part - from a single prototype to recurring series production.
