Beam Steering Mirrors
Precise Light Guidance for Optical and Technical Systems
Beam Steering Mirrors specifically alter the path of light within optical and technical systems. They are used to redirect beam paths, adjust optical paths, or direct light to specific areas.
In addition to the reflective surface , their geometry, surface quality, and the requirements of the respective spectral range are particularly crucial to their function. The specific design is therefore tailored to the respective optical system.
Beam Steering Mirrors can be manufactured in various shapes and sizes. Depending on the application , the contour, dimensions, and surface finish are tailored to the installation conditions and the intended beam path. Custom geometries can also be produced based on technical drawings.
The mirror coating is critical to the optical performance. In surface mirrors, the reflective coating is applied to the front of the substrate, so that light is reflected directly off the coated surface. This prevents additional reflections that can occur when light is reflected off an upstream glass substrate.
Schröder Spezialglas manufactures and processes custom-designed deflection mirrors according to technical specifications. Depending on the requirements, the geometry and surface can be specifically tailored to create custom mirror components for optical, sensor, and metrological systems.
For decades, Schröder Spezialglas has been supporting customers in industry, research, and development in the implementation of technical glass solutions. From the initial idea through prototyping to mass production, we combine expertise in materials with modern manufacturing processes and documented quality procedures.
