Special requirements tailored to individual needs

Not every technical challenge can be solved with standardized components. Custom parts made of glass and specialty engineering materials are created when unique geometries, specific material properties, or customized functions are required.

These can be based on drawings, samples, or technical specifications. We work together to coordinate the material and manufacturing process in such a way that a technically and economically suitable solution is created for the respective application.

When Standard Solutions Are Not Enough

Custom components can differ significantly from traditional glass products in terms of their shape, dimensions, material combinations, or functional requirements. Depending on the application, it is possible, for example, to create complex contours, drill holes, cutouts, radii, steps, or specific surface finishes.

A wide selection of technical glasses and specialty materials is available for production. Various manufacturing processes make it possible to tailor the material and processing specifically to the task at hand. As part of this process, we assess in advance which designs can be feasibly implemented from a manufacturing perspective.

Schröder Spezialglas manufactures custom components ranging from initial samples and prototypes to full-scale production runs. The combination of material expertise, various processing methods, and in-house manufacturing creates the flexibility to develop solutions that go beyond standardized glass components.
